Alex Pilotti was born in Long Island, NY on September 13, 1978. Merely a few months old, he moved to Santiago, Chile, where he spent the first seven years of his life. It was there where Alex first discovered music, having won his first prize in musical performance at the age of 5 for his rendition of Yankee Doodle on the kazoo. At age 8, Alex relocated to Montevideo, Uruguay, where he first developed his passion for guitar playing. Upon developing his skills, Alex joined two local bands with whom he performed for over a decade. At 18, once again living in the United States, Alex attended college at George Mason University and formed his first solo-band. In addition to playing the guitar, Alex was now also the lead singer and composer. In 2004, Alex embarked in the process of recording his first full-length album, “The One Who Could”, containing 14 original songs. Recorded at Golden Sound Studio, the album featured Andy Hamburger on drums and Scott Harlan on bass as well as several other guest musicians. In 2009, Alex began production on his second album, “The Music Is Inside”, again featuring Andy Hamburger and Scott Harlan, to be released in May, 2010. Currently, Alex and the band are promoting the new album by performing extensively in Northern VA and the DC metro area.
